It has a lifetime warranty on its hardened steel cutting shafts, which easily tolerate paper clips, staples, CDs and credit cards. The quiet and powerful single phase motor has been rated for continuous operation and is stored in dust-proof gear box housing. It has a sturdy chain drive and is all inside a quality wooden cabinet mounted on casters for accessibility. The pull out bag frame is mounted on rollers for easy replacement of the disposable bags and can store up to 59 gallons of shred volume. Lots of shredding, not much emptying.The Destroyit 4005 boasts an assortment of features sure to simplify and better the shredding process. The “SPS” (Safety Protection System) has an electronically controlled, transparent safety shield in the feed opening. “ESM” (Energy Saving Mode) is activated after an hour of inactivity and works to safe energy when the shredder isn’t in use. The “ECC” (Electronic Capacity Control) indicator shows how hard the shredder is working and helps prevent paper jams. The “Easy Switch” technology features an oversized rocker switch that quickly reverses the shredder feed or cuts of the power when pressed. It also has three LED-lit indicators that show when there is a paper jam, a door open or when the shred bag is full, cutting the power off. The automatic oil injection system systematically lubricates the cutting shaft for the highest performance shredding.
