The Destroyit 3105 SMC high security shredder is a powerhouse, chock full of features and the quality Destroyit is known for. Approved by NSA/CSS for level 6 shredding, the 3105 handles 12 to 16 sheets of paper at a time through its extra roomy 12” throat width. The shredder’s cabinet is built out of high quality wood and is mounted on casters for convenience. It comes standard with an automatic oiler mounted on the side as well. Its single phase motor is rated for continuous operation and its gears are neatly housed inside of a dust-proof enclosure.The 3105 SMC (super micro cut) has a wide array of features that set it apart from other shredders. Most importantly, it comes standard with the automatic oiler. The automatic oil injection system removes the hassle of manual oiling and keeps your shredder performing at its absolute best at all times, meaning less paper jams and higher sheet capacity, among other things. The “SPS” (Safety Protection System) has an electronically controlled safety shield covering most of the feed opening. In order to protect the user, the shredder automatically shuts off if the safety shield is lifted, exposing the feed opening. For added safety, the shredder has automatic start and stop controlled by a photo sensor, so the machine is never running when it isn’t in use. The “Easy Switch” is a large rocker switch that allows for quick feed reversal or shut down of the shredder. It also has three icons representing paper jam, open cabinet door and shred bin full that illuminate to indicate operational status, all of which are cause for the machine to shut off. The “ECC” (Electronic Capacity Control) helps prevent said paper jams by indicating how hard the shredder is working to handle its paper load.
