The Destroyit 2604 Cross Cut shredder is full of features sure to meet your office shredding needs. Over previous models it boasts of a standard internal automatic oiler that constantly lubricates the cutting heads. Its high quality construction and sleek appearance house the latest innovations in shredding technology, including the “SPS” (Safety Protection System). The SPS features a transparent safety shield in the feed opening that is electronically controlled to stop shredding should the shield be opened. The “Easy Switch” element has three LED-lit icons which indicate an open door, full bag or paper jam. The rocker switch is easy to reach if the shred needs to quickly be reversed. “ESM” (Energy Saving Mode) kicks in after 1 hour of inactivity, saving electricity. The 2604 also features the “ECC” (Electronic Capacity Control) which indicates how hard the shredder is working and helps prevent paper jams.The Destroyit 2604’s steel cutting shafts have a lifetime guarantee and are strong enough to take staples, paper clips, credit cards and even CDs through its wide, 10 ¼” feed opening with ease. The quiet yet powerful single-phase motor, durable gears and 26 gallon shred bin are enclosed in a high quality wooden cabinet set on casters. The 2604 Cross Cut has a sheet capacity of 20-22 sheets at a shred speed of 18 feet per minute. The automatic oiler takes maintains the cutting shaft and keeps the shredder running efficiently.
