The Destroyit 2503 strip cut shredder is the happy medium between deskside models and larger centralized office shredders. With a sheet capacity of 19 to 21 pieces of paper, the 2503 breezes through the sheets at 24 feet per minute to produce security level 2 shred. With a feed opening 10 ¼” wide, the space is roomy enough for many different types of papers to go through. Its quiet, single phase motor has durable gears neatly inside a dust-proof enclosure inside the cabinet. The cabinet is made of high quality wood and set on casters for convenience and accessibility. It houses a pull-out bag frame that can hold up to 26 gallons of shred volume in its disposable bags.

The Destroyit 2503 comes standard with the “SPS” (Safety Protection System), an electronically controlled protective shield that covers the feed opening. It cuts the power to the shredder should the shield be lifted, exposing the feed to the user. In addition, the 2503 has the “Easy Switch,” a large control element that not only has two rocker features that allow the user to quickly reverse the feed or shut it off, but also 3 LED-lit icons that indicate operational status. Should the shredder encounter a paper jam, open cabinet door or full shred bag, all of which cause the shredder to turn off, the icon will illuminate. The start and stop of the shredder is automatically controlled by a photo sensor, so the shredder is not left running when nothing is being shredded. The cutting shafts are made from high quality hardened steel and come with a lifetime warranty from MBM. On the Destroyit 2503, the cutting shafts are capable of handling staples, paper clips and credit cards.
