The Destroyit 2503 cross cut shredder meets many of your everyday office shredding needs. Featuring the “SPS” (Safety Protection System), the Destroyit 2503 makes shredding worry-free and safer than ever with a transparent, electronically controlled safety shield in the feed opening. This prevents anything from unintentionally being shredded and cuts the power to the shredder when the shield is lifted. The oversized “Easy Switch” control feature uses color-coded, back-lit buttons to indicate operational status, making it easy to read and understand. Being held up by paper jams is a thing of the past with the automatic reverse and power cut-off. The power is also cut off in the event of a full shred bag or open cabinet door.The Destroyit 2503 is also environmentally friendly, thanks to the “ESM” (Energy Saving Mode) that the shredder goes into after 1 hour of inactivity. Photo cell technology controls the automatic start and stop so the shredder is never running when it isn’t being used. Top quality steel cutting shafts power through staples, paper clips, credit cards and even CDs and are guaranteed by the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty. Inside the high quality wooden cabinet is a quiet yet powerful single-phase motor, with its durable gears stored in a dust-proof enclosure. The cabinet is mounted on casters for convenience and the inside bag frame easily pulls out to remove and replace the disposable shred bags. The 10 ¼” feed opening is wide enough to accommodate different sizes of papers and has a sheet capacity of 12 to 14 pages at a time to produce security level 3 shred.
