The SPS has an electronically controlled, transparent safety shield covering the feed opening. The shredder will automatically turn off if the safety shield is listed, ensuring the safety of the user. Also, the shredder features the “Easy Switch” a rocker switch that is large and easy to locate and press to immediately reverse the feed or shut it off. Otherwise, the automatic start and stop is controlled via photo cell and only runs when paper is going through, conserving energy.
