The Destroyit 2260 cross cut shredder has everything needed for easy deskside use. The high quality wooden cabinet houses a 5 gallon shred bin that easily pulls out to be emptied. It also has a convenient window to show how full the bin is so you know when it needs to be emptied. The 2260 has a powerful yet quiet single phase motor encased in a dust-proof enclosure and has double protection against overheating.The 2260 shredder also has a several security features that make shredding even safer. The transparent safety shield in the feed opening prevents anything but shred material to enter the shredder. Should the shield be lifted, the shredder will automatically shut off. In addition, the power will cut off if the shred bin is removed from the cabinet. A simple 3-function control switch with pilot light controls the stand-by, stop (off) and reverse options and is easy to locate. The hardened steel cutting shafts are top quality and conveniently take staples and paper clips with ease. They shred at security level 3 specifications and take 5 to 6 sheets at a time.
