The Destroyit 2240 strip cut shredder is the most basic of the deskside shredders. Producing security level 2 shred, the 2240 strip cut model can take up to 10 to 12 sheets at a time at a rate of 12 feet per minute. The 5-gallon shred bin is made from impact-resistant plastic is easily emptied when the shredder head is lifted from the bin, using a convenient handle. For the user’s safety, the power automatically cuts off when the shredder head unit is removed from the bin. A quiet yet powerful single phase motor is neatly stored in a dust-proof enclosure in the 2240 and has double protection against overheating.The Destroyit 2240 automatically knows when to start and stop thanks to the photo sensor. A single, multi-function control switch controls the standby, stop (off) and reverse modes. The high quality hardened steel cutting shafts come guaranteed by MBM for life and easily take staples, credit cards and paper clips. Also, a transparent safety shield covers the feed opening for the user’s safety.
